None of my bucks have been shown.
I've all but stopped showing bucks until I see
daughters freshen.(or at the very least have kids on the ground)
I've really grown to hate showing bucks<pew>
but I've become more
disenchanted with how many bucks are being finished and lauded in the
showring before anyone has any idea what they will do in a breeding program.
In my own herd, I've decided not to campaign a buck till I feel his
offspring warrant him winning any show ring recognition. I feel that bloodlines
and breeding programs should speak for themselves. Show wins on a buck don't
prove that, but show wins and milk records on daughters do

Viagra is producing some beautiful kids here. We plan to use him on several does
for spring kids in 2007

Velvet Acres Patriot Missile
born 3/15/07

Sire: Kaapio Acres RA Rocket Man *S (maternal half brother to our Blue Thunder)
Dam: Velvet Acres Sienna(goes back to our Suzuki and Doe c Doe lines)
We brought Patriot into the herd because he brings back in some of our
most successful lines. We think he will cross well with our current line up of
does and look forward to seeing kids from him in spring 08. Patriot
himself is a very upstanding buckling, with an outstanding front end. Very
straight fore legs and fullness at the crops and the point of elbow and a nice
lonng rump. Oh and we
keep forgetting, he is blue eyed as well.

We decided to keep this young buckling this year. He is out of one of our old
favorite does with a lovely mammary system along with very good feet and
legs. He is a very dairy individual and we plan to use him on a few select does
this fall.

We are very excited about our new addition, Winston. His dam is a gorgeous 2 yr
old who recently placed 1st in her class at the National show as well as scoring
a whopping 88points on a one day test! A serious milker to be sure! We have high
hopes that Winston will contribute some of her fine attributes to our herd.
Thanks Cheryl
Update: Additional congrats to Cheryl. Silouette was just named the first ANDDA
Total Performer winner of 2006!

We're excited to bring back in some of our genetics behind this boy. (he goes
back to MCH Doe C Doe on both sides) He is staying VERY small. He is being bred to
the several does for spring 2008 kids
Thank You so much, Audrey and Amy for this little guy!
Well I arrived home to more sad news after my trip to
the ADGA convention in Colorado. My wonderful little Bonzai had jumped a fence
and broken his leg and was subsequently put down. I am currently waiting
for sonograms to see if the does he had been bred to have settled. Otherwise,
some breedings will be changing, probably to his son, Cowboy Boots.
